Hello there. I have heard of the yousendit uploading, megaupload and others. However, i came across a website that is the cream of the crop for these!
Check it out:
Mediafire.org has unlimited file uploading capacity (100 mb per file) although you can jsut grab a program that will split the files and presto! Additionally you can share them via URL, e-mail, myspace and facebook. You can also manage your files, make them private or public and best of all the website mirrors your file uploads and downloads. This means that the file will be downloaded similar to how emule works: A file is split into X number of equal parts. HOsts or servers will download or supply the file at different parts. This allows for faster uploading and downloading. No account is necessary and no capcha validation is required. In summary,
everyone should use mediafire!
Sounds interesting. I will check it out. Thanks for sharing.
everyone should not use media fle. I use sendspace max and it works great.
First of all the original topick wasn't saying about media fle but media fire.
Second if you think that the page you are suggesting is better you should give reasons what is better about it and why mediafire wouldn't be so good. Just by saying that a website is better than another one it doesn't make sence. If you don't back up your oppinion then why do you bother writing?
I only used sendspace in the past. I need to try mediafire yet so i can't tell if you are right or not. You probably are. I am not saying that is wrong what you said it is just not enough. You should explain better your oppinion.
Man, Sendspace is the shit. you can upload 300 megs per file and you can use programs to split them up. The only real good thing about mediafire is the download speed. but then again if you use sendspace max which is a premium service you get even faster uploads and downloads. Really, I would go with Sendspace.
Wait. If Mediafire doesn't require you to make an account, how do you access your files if they're private?
I am using media fire and it's excellent. The url is mediafire.com and i did creat an account which works well. Our church is using it to store the sermon's and post links to them on the church website. Seems to work fine. I did have one problem where all the files vanished and I was not able to get any tech support. However, I restored the files and hope they stay there this time. It's a free tool so what can I expect right?
i've never used mediafire except a few times downloading something someone sent me; it works pretty well though. i use sendspace or divshare most of the time, though sendspace more often than not because i can upload a file up to 300 mb, it's quite accessible and if you have an account which i do, you can keep track of the files you've uploaded pretty easily, which is good when you're as unorganized as i am. lol
I really dislike Sendspace. It's the only file uploading service which makes you pay if you want to download more than one file at a time. There are other services, like www.filesend.net, which have a file size limit of 300 megs. Yes, you avhe to sign up, because if you don't your size limit is 120 megs, but still sign-up is entirely free and very easy. Divshare is also cool because I think in most cases the link you get goes right to the file and brings up your download dialogue box, so no hunting through advertising panels for a link or button. For smaller files under a hundred megs, I have used ZShare.net and also if you go to www.tbrn.net they have a file uploading service installed there which seems reasonable.
I concur with post 9. Divshare also allows you to give other users faster downloads of your files, whereas, sendspace only gives the paying user faster downloads. I have also found divshare's upload speeds much faster than sendspace. Also, if you want to buy bandwidth on sendspace, you have to buy it on individual files, whereas divshare you have can by 50gb of traffic and 5gb of space for $6 a month. It's $2 per file on sendspace. The only thing I like better aboutssendspace is that you can check your upload progress with jaws, but I don't know of a way to do so on divshare. Free users will also like the upload limit of 300mb on sendspace, but if you are going to buy a premium account, divshare wins again because you can have files of up to 2gb in size. Now, with media fire, the download speed is very fast, but I've sene times when, like sendspace, the server that hosts your file is unavailable. Overall, I like divshare the best. Oh, and to answer the question from post 6, it's like sendspace. You have o enter an email address of where u would like the link to be sent, or copy it down upon completion of your upload.
I am curious about mediafire.com. Iw as telling a friend about it yesterday,t hat I want to try it and he told me not to because in his experience, when you go to download the file that has been uploaded by another person, the download link is hard to locate. Has anyone experienced this.
